Number one, it shows that your partner things that it’s worth time, effort, money to seek counseling. Secondly it shows initiative to help fix things that are worth fighting for. Getting the counselor will help mediate any open issues and resolve gaps. This is a major signal that your partner acknowledges that there are problems but can be fixed.
Another great reason is that both of you are willing to make the effort to make your marriage work. Although it takes money time and effort, but returns on investment can get you a better marriage and a better relationship.
